GLO ASP 2000
Description:
It is a modified potassium sulphonated asphaltic
compound. In potassium environments, it is highly
effective because it contributes water soluble
potassium in to the mud system.
Application :
Shale control, fluid loss control and improving
lubricity of all water systems at high temperature:
COMMON NAME - POTASSIUM SALT OF SULPHONATED ASPHALT
Advantages:
- It stabilizes shale formation.
- Reduces torque and drag.
- Inhibits dispersion of drilled solids.
- Controls high temperature water loss.
- Produces thin and strong wall cake.
- Forms high emulsion where oil is used.
- Controls shear strength; and
- Acts as corrosion inhibitor at high temperature.
