Potassium Salt of Sulfonated Asphalt

GLO ASP 2000

Description:

It is a modified potassium sulphonated asphaltic compound. In potassium environments, it is highly effective because it contributes water soluble potassium in to the mud system.

Application :

Shale control, fluid loss control and improving lubricity of all water systems at high temperature:

COMMON NAME - POTASSIUM SALT OF SULPHONATED ASPHALT

Advantages:

  • It stabilizes shale formation.
  • Reduces torque and drag.
  • Inhibits dispersion of drilled solids.
  • Controls high temperature water loss.
  • Produces thin and strong wall cake.
  • Forms high emulsion where oil is used.
  • Controls shear strength; and
  • Acts as corrosion inhibitor at high temperature.
