Description:

It is derived from the seed of the guar plant. It is a polysaccharide polymer with molecular weight of about 2,20,000. The repeating unit is composed of galactose and manose.

Application:

It is used for fluid loss control in all water based mud systems specially in salt water mud. It provides viscosity also.

COMMON NAME – GUAR GUM (MODIFIED)

Moisture content (% by weight) : <15
PH of 1% w/v in D/W at 24 ± 2°C : 6.5 – 7.5
Apparent Viscosity of 1.0% w/v aqueous suspension
at 24±2°C (incp).
